This qualification of level 2 award in fire safety and fire Marshalls is suitable for anyone responsible for overseeing fire safety, designated fire Marshalls and anyone who needs to know about fire safety and the use of fire extinguishers.

Appointed fire Marshalls and any professional responsible for fire safety must attend this course every 3 years.

Level 2 Award In Fire Safety And Marshalls:

The training covers the knowledge and skills needed for the role of a designated fire Marshall or fire warden. It explores fire prevention, fire regulations, and the types of fire extinguishers, and how to use them correctly.

Learning Outcome:

On the completion of this qualification, the learners will understand

  • Action on discovering a fire
  • Common causes of fire
  • Fire drills and evacuation
  • Fire safety legislation and safety precautions
  • Chemistry of fire and the role of Fire Marshall
  • Use of fire extinguishers

Topics:

The candidates will learn to understand roles, responsibilities, and relationships in education and training. Understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches facilitates learning and development for individuals and for groups.

The candidates will also achieve 3 credits for understanding Assessment and principles and practices of assessment in education and training.

Assessment:

This course will be assessed by multiple-choice questions

(pass marks 70%)

You will be required to submit the evidence of

  • Written statement, all the necessary guidance will be provided to you during the course.
  • Oral statements /answers or professional discussions (only for learners with special needs)
