Level 3 certificate in assessing vocational achievement (CAVA) is designed for those who want to enter the learning and development sector by becoming a qualified assessor for NVQs and for other work-based learning programs. The QCF units can be mixed and matched to provide a flexible, individual approach to delivery.

UNIT 1 – understanding the principles and practices of assessment

UNIT 2- Assess occupational competence in the work-based learning

UNIT 3- Assess vocational skills, knowledge & understanding

After the completion of this qualification, the candidates will have the understanding, knowledge, and ability to perform a wide range of tasks connected with their work in their workplace. The Level 3 certificate in assessing vocational achievement is knowledge and competence-based.

This qualification is assessed by a portfolio of evidence, which will be assessed by the assessor and internal quality controller.
