Level 2 Award for working as a CCTV Operator (Public Space Surveillance) with the Private Security Industry

The level 2 CCTV operator course has been designed to meet the requirements of the security industry authority (SIA). Individuals who wish to apply for an SIA license to work as a CCTV operator must achieve this qualification to gain the necessary skills and knowledge.

The SIA stipulates completing level 2 CCTV operator course in 3 days instead of their minimum course duration requirement of 4 days. The candidates must complete some distance learning before they attend the first day of the course.

DURATION:

To complete this qualification learners are expected to undertake an approximately 3 days training program.

These include working in the private security industry as a CCTV operator and practical operations of CCTV equipment.

ASSESSMENT:

This qualification is assessed by practical assessment and multiple-choice questions. The minimum age requirement is 18 plus.
